Makaela is an associate lawyer at Nexa.

Makaela advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset transactions, and corporate governance. Her practice also includes advising on employment law, securities law, and issues affecting charitable and not-for-profit organizations.

She has experience acting for startups, growth-stage and midsize companies, as well as nonprofits, across a variety of industries. A key aspect of Makaela’s practice is building trusted, long-term relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand each client’s business and objectives, delivering legal advice that is both practical and accessible.

Before joining Nexa, Makaela was an associate at Kahn Zack Ehrlich Lithwick LLP, prior to which she practiced at a boutique securities firm and a national downtown firm.

What Makaela values most in her practice is the chance to collaborate with clients, offering practical solutions and strategic insight as they build and grow their businesses.

Outside of the office, Makaela enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and very active group of friends.
