Katy has been an associate lawyer at Nexa since being called to the bar in 2018.  

As part of our civil litigation group, Katy is experienced in a wide range of matters, from contract and estate disputes to debt collection for institutional lenders. Katy has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia as well as the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal, Residential Tenancy Board and Human Rights Tribunal.

Katy strives to bring a calm, strategic approach to every case. She uses a number of dispute resolution skills in her files. Katy regularly appears in court to advocate for her clients and, wherever appropriate, attempts to resolve disputes by negotiation and mediation. Whether appearing in court, representing clients in negotiations or resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution, Katy works efficiently to bring each case to a timely and effective conclusion.

Outside of the office, Katy is an avid equestrian and enjoys travelling with her husband.
